Wavelength is a real-time music collaboration platform that removes the distance barrier for artists and producers working together. Musicians join virtual studio sessions where they can record, mix, and arrange tracks simultaneously, hearing each other with sub-50ms latency thanks to WebRTC peer connections optimized for audio streaming.

The platform includes a browser-based digital audio workstation with multi-track recording, a shared beat sequencer, sample libraries, and basic effects processing. Session history is automatically saved, and artists can branch off arrangements like code branches, exploring different creative directions without losing previous work. A built-in chat and video feed keeps collaborators connected during sessions.

Cloudflare Workers handle the signaling server and API layer, providing globally distributed low-latency endpoints. D1 stores session metadata, user profiles, and project state, while R2 handles audio file storage. The React frontend uses the Web Audio API for real-time playback and Hono.js for the backend routing layer.
